Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to play an integral role in GNF’s small molecule drug discovery efforts.  The successful candidate will contribute to the established drug discovery projects and/or perform target validation for novel targets.   Duties include cell-based and biochemical assay development, validation and miniaturization, in vitro assay support of medchem lead optimization efforts and characterization of novel signaling pathways by applying molecular/cellular biology techniques and the genomic tools at GNF.  This position requires B.S./M.S. in a relevant field with 6+ years of biotechnology or pharmaceutical drug discovery experience and broad expertise in standard molecular/cellular biology (e.g., cloning, RT-PCR, shRNA, Western, transfection et al.), mammalian cell culture, biochemical techniques and data analysis using Excel and/or GraphPad Prism.  Prior experience in standard lab automation is a plus.  The ideal candidate would be able to multi-task and is open to new challenges.
