Description: We are seeking self-motivated individuals to join our Medicinal Chemistry department.  The successful candidates will work as part of a larger project team conducting SAR and compound optimization in the hit-to-lead and lead-optimization stage.  In addition, scale up of the lead molecules and tool compound synthesis for target validation and identifications may be required in this position.  Must possess at least a M.S. in synthetic organic chemistry or B.S. with two years of organic chemistry laboratory experience.  Expertise in multi-step organic synthesis, compound purification, and structural characterization is required.  Strong oral and written communication skills are essential. 

This is a temporary position for 6 months starting in December 2008.
