Description:

The successful candidate will play an important role in the development of innovative chemical and biochemical methods to modify proteins including the in vivo incorporation of unnatural amino acids for biophysical studies      (Cellitti et al., J Am Chem Soc. 2008 Jul 23;130(29):9268-81).  The position requires a Ph. D. degree in biochemistry, chemistry, bioorganic chemistry, or similar field.  Some experience in chemical synthesis is required.  Experience in protein conjugation and modification technologies and/or polymer chemistry are desirable.  The project will take advantage of GNF's capability to express, purify and characterize hundreds of protein constructs in parallel using in-house developed robotic equipment.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to work in an interdisciplinary, highly dynamic team.  Good communication skills and willingness to work in a team is essential.  The position is available immediately.
